Creation of a contemporary circus performance. The space; the emptiness and the fullness, the boundaries and limits of it. A collaboration with different forms of art, including circus, physical theatre and visual arts. Empty. Full. Inside or outside. White. Adjusting oneself in the space, inside the lines of this limitation. A period of time, a proposal.

​"Iida, or Iitu as most people call her, loving the heights and the excitement. After graduating Lahti circus school she continued her studies in the Netherlands, graduating with a bachelors degree in Arts.
Iitu is open minded and a bit of an anarchist. She loves meeting new people, and the doors of her van are always open for friends, guests or hitch-hikers. Iitu is also the founder of the embarrassment club, that is all about self-humiliation, the club has been completing embarrassing tasks since 2000. We should all learn to not to take ourselves too serious, right?"

 

 

"Clara loves lines , plane colors and empty spaces where she could fit in. After graduating from Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona, she flyed to the Netherlands, just for one reason (and that is not the rain) but the Academy for Circus and Performance Arts; from where she will graduate soon. Clara is always motivated for new projects, and most of the times she has something going on. It could be circus, visual arts, theatre or combining all of those. You will know she´s around hearing her compelling laugh and to be sure to have some good company and conversations.

The performance

​

Two women, four languages, tree countries, and an infinity of personalities product of the contemporary society sharing a 8 square meters space; where they live and survive. From the balance to the craziness. From the all to the nothing. This emptiness that lets them all the freedom to build new proposals. An apology to the change, the risk and the surprise. 

 

​​One, two, three or ten trapezes. An investigation and an experimentation of the space from this aerial element. A line in the air that creates a perfect geometry, delimitating spaces. 

​

From this space research, "Això és casa meva" wants to reflect about housing problematic and  the social inequality; a claim to this primary necessity.

And what about all of the emty spaces of a city? Lost and dead. 

And what about the inexcessible rents? the decaying infrestructures? 

The corner of street of the inside of the bank as the bedroom, the living room and even the kitchen.
